GAY PEOPLE'S CHRONICLE 1993 PRIDE GUIDE

Men's Chorus puts on

two nights of show tunes

The North Coast Men's Chorus is getting ready to stage its most ambitious concert ever: two nights of Puttin' on the Ritz, an original full-scale musical production featuring the tunes of Gershwin, Porter and Hollywood during their heyday.

For the past several years the Chorus has presented a June concert as its celebration of Pride month. Last year the group joined forces with the nationally known gay singing duo Romanovsky & Phillips and local favorites, the Windsong Womyn's Ensemble.

This year, stardom calls!

Puttin' on the Ritz is set at the swankiest club in town, Club Cliché, where excitement reigns when a Hollywood director

stops by... for a quiet evening? Starryeyed patrons swoon and croon their special guests to the tunes of stage and film musical greats. The Chorus will whisk you away to 42nd Street and Hollywood's back lotsand promises to make your dreams come

true.

Show times are at 8 pm on Friday and Saturday, June 18 and 19, at the Lakewood High School Tryout Theatre, at the corner of Bunts and Franklin. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 at the door. Advance sale ticket outlets are the Lesbian-Gay Community Service Center and Truffles Pastry Shop on the West Side; Gifts of Athena and High Tide/Rock Bottom on the East Side. Call 473-8919 for mor information.
